Ever since the Saturn we Sega and Sonic fans have been waiting for a fully 3D Sonic game. We thought that when Sonic X-Treme was announced that we were finally getting that game. After a few months of hype we were told that Sonic Team didn't think that Sonic X-Treme wasn't upto the standards in the gameplay department. Knowone new it, but Sonic Team hadn't actually canned Sonic X-Treme. It turned out that Sonic X-treme had actually turned out to be Sonic Adventure.
Sonic Adventure is going to running at 60 frames per sechond with a resolution of 640x480 all in glorius 16Bit colour. Sonic Team have included many RPG elements in Sonic Adventure.
The much fabled "VMS" will be used in Sonic Adventure to store charactor information and save game progress. Each charactor will take different routes, pathways and will have certain advantages and disadvantages compared to the other charactors in the game, meaning you cannot clock Sonic Adventure with just one charactor.
Sonic Team have also said that there even more levels will be activated once you complete the game with all the charactors, but they have not said what type of levels.nor given any names.
Sonic Adventure will a game to set standards that other games will follow when it is relesed on December 13th, 1998.

Our hero Sonic the Hedgehog has learned of Dr Robotniks dastardly deeds and has once again been called into action which is the begining of another awesome Sonic game.

MORE IMAGES COMING SOON!!
Levels
At the moment Sonic Adventure is will have 10 levels with 2 to acts in each zone, but this is likely change.
Speed Highway
Speed Highway is looking like the best level out of the entire game with it's senstional lighting source and arcitecture. As you can see from the pics below there are Cars, Helicopters and people. It is not confirmed weither you can interact with these yet.
Red Mountain
Red Mountain will be a giant Mountain with lot's of caves and sub levels. It is also rumoured that there will be a Volcanoe as well.
Ice Cap
Ice Cap will be a giant Mountain covered in snow where you can do some snowboarding and pull off unreal moves just like the ones in games such as Cool Boarders2 and Steep Sloap Riders!
Inca (also known as Jungle)
The idea for this level was based around the Aztec Ruins in Africa that Sonic Team visited a few months back. It is going to have lot's of booby traps and is going to have bit's of the level based around real Inca ruins in Africa.
Sky Attack (also known as Flying Fortress)
This level looks like the final fight where you and the Chaos go head to head. If you lose the world is doomed and you will most likely die and there will never be another Sonic game again nnnnooooo! on the tother hand.......If you win then the Chaos is most likely destroyed, Robotnik will probabley go into hiding until he thinks of another diabloical scheme which will bring us the next Sonic game "nuff said".
Station City
This level has not been confirmed yet.
Bonus Level
No prizes for guessing what this level is going to be! As you can tell this will be a bonus level and it is rumoured that there are going to be more bonus levels in Sonic Adventure.
